Mission
The Asian Association for Lifelong Learning (ALL)
is a not-for-profit association offering information, research and
learning activities to scholars, practitioners, students and other
persons supportive and interested in the discipline of lifelong
education. Our mission is to advance the professional standards and
quality of lifelong education.
ALL Objectives
- Provide a network of global resources, information and activities related to lifelong learning
- Provide learners with information on the criteria of credible lifelong learning programs
- Assist professional members to set benchmarks and standards in the field of lifelong learning
- Foster exchanges between individuals and institutions that engage in lifelong learning
- Serve as a central repository for information related to lifelong learning especially for the Asian regions
- Facilitate examination into the pedagogical, philosophical and other issues related to lifelong education
- Establish study circles for lifelong learning
Membership
- ALL consists of several categories of members:
Patron, Life, Honorary Life, Professional, Associate and Student Affiliate
- Membership is generally open to all individuals who
are supportive of the ideal of lifelong learning and engage in various
forms of lifelong education.
- Admission to ALL is by invitation. An applicant shall
become a member when his/her application for a specific category of
membership is approved by the Executive Committee and the prescribed
fees paid.
The Governance
ALL is governed by an Executive Committee, which consists of both
elected and appointed officers. Committee meetings are held 2/3 times
each year. The annual general meeting sets policies for the Association.
Funding
ALL is funded by annual membership dues, sales of publication,
charitable contributions, and other revenue producing activities.
